I hope you are correct and they bring that feature back once they determine how to make them more secure. Generally, as you can see, I am a big fan of Windows 7 Gadgets. I have a Gadget for my UPS that lets me know how much wattage my computer is using at any given time. My GPU Gadget constantly lets me know the GPU Temperature and whether the GPU fan is on or off. Eventually I needed to upgrade the stock CPU Cooler with Cooler Master 212x EVO which now prevents my CPU (FX 8350) from overheating, even when the CPU is at 100% load. My CPU gadget was what alerted me that my CPU Cooler wasn't cooling efficiently as in the pass.
